UAP Letterplate Restrictor Shrouds are a simple but effective way to prevent key fishing via your letterbox. Key fishing is a common technique among burglars, where they simply pass a long rod with a hook or magnet through a letter slot and use it to snag keys hanging near the door. Once they have retrieved the keys in this way, they can unlock your house door or make off with your car.

Thanks to these Restrictor Shrouds, fishing attacks such as this are practically impossible. The internal letterplate flap cannot open beyond 40°, leaving plenty of room for letters, but not enough room for the burglar’s hand.

Available in a range of colours to match your existing letterplate, these restrictor shrouds are designed for letterplates up to 300mm / 12 inches wide.
